Authoritarians tend to be like this. He’s just getting started.
It’s been one week and look how much damage he has done!! Just imagine the next 4 years!!!! Sigh
We’re going to become so corrupt that NATO will kick us out while Ukraine gets a spot at the table lol.
Trump firing so many inspectors general seems like he’s trying to remove any checks on his power, which could lead to corruption and lack of accountability in the government. It’s a risky move that could hurt trust in the system.
The only way any republican voters will realize their mistake is if they get exactly what they voted for. Let it all happen.
1/3 of America cheers.
1/3 of America is pissed.
1/3 of America is like “Shut up. Can’t you see I’m making a TikTok video.”
“President Trump is dismantling checks on his power and paving the way for widespread corruption,” she added.
What a system. The people who are supposed to keep checks and balances can be fired by the guy who they are they are charged with watching.
Hate to say it but it might actually be bad that he didnt win last time. He and his Project 2025 gang had 4 years to plan all this shit.
You better vote against everything Republican, Elizabeth, unless the bill 100% supports Democrats agenda. Take off the gloves and put on some spike steel knuckles.
We need leaders, who is going to step up and be a consistent voice of the dangers being paved on our path?
Damn. It took a week to fuck up an entire country.
He is already $40 billion richer during this past week. Its money he wants, just the money.
So much for dictator on day one. As if he was ever gonna stop.

>“I don’t understand why one would fire individuals whose mission it is to root out waste, fraud and abuse. This leaves a gap in what I know is a priority for President Trump. So I don’t understand it,” Collins said while arriving at the Capitol for a Saturday morning vote.
Susan Collins concerned, her brow furrowed.
What happens if they just say no to being fired? Shit like this has to go through congress right?
I am glad she’s saying that. Can she and AOC and Sanders come up with a resistance plan? Organize, tell us all what we can do to help hold the cheating orange grandpa and his Nazi handler accountable?
This is how Hitler came to be!! Pardons, then mass deportation, military in the streets, annexing neighbours.
Only Americans can stop this and it has to be done now!
Gee, if there was only a day this past November, we could have prohibited this from happening.
If it’s against federal law to fire them, who enforces it? Biondi? Impeachment with republican control of both houses? God we’re screwed
This a not a TV show. Trump is firing tax paying Americans who have done their jobs for years. These are the very people he campaigned to help. A psychologist at a VA hospital is afraid she will lose her job. He has already cut back benefits for the veterans. And now he has an army of gun toting fanatics he released from prison who know there is no punishment for their actions. And thousands more will join them.
The biggest surprise is the US has such a weak system of governance, if it’s so easily broken by Trump.
The new IGs are going to be used to enforce Trump orthodoxy in the departments and agencies they oversee. They will be able to dig up or fabricate evidence against anyone that goes against Trump’s narrative. It won’t matter if they are right or wrong, just the threat of investigation and possible prosecution will be enough to silence critics within the federal government.
If the president can fire the watchdog, it isn’t a watchdog.
“Look at how upset all the liberals are. Trump must be doing something right!” -conservatives
And when Trump’s policies affect them personally: “How could democrats have let this happen?”
He’s not paving the way for widespread corruption, he’s paving the way for autocracy. The corruption along the way is an ancillary benefit.
