Why though?
I recall people in this reddit joking about a new cheque every time something spikes in price. But we all knew it wasn’t a joke… New crisis = New cheque
Infuriating to see how all these politicians are now boasting about how *they* gave us 6% VAT, while last month they all voted against it. Our suffering is just a sick political game to them.
The BTW drop is net positive for the state, it’s nice, but gross taxes are still higher (gas price is currently over triple what it was in summer and it has peaked at over 7 times.
What’s extra hilarious is it starts next month, price is forecast to go up, but people’s usage will go down drastically.
Electricity has also tripled so same fucking story.
They should’ve implemented budget neutral tax cuts since the start of the winter but now they waited until spring so most people will still get royally fucked when the bill for the winter arrives.
Accijnsverlaging is actually something though, I bet that’s the majority of the projected net cost for the taxpayer of 300mil.
The tijdelijke werkloosheid thing has me puzzled though.
I guess it doesn’t increase the deficit by much, so that’s something..
