I pass this place in St John’s Wood often. Never seen anyone go in or out. Ever. According to their website they’re the largest ktv (karaoke) venue in london, yet when I search ‘ktv london’ they don’t appear. Does anyone frequent this place?

  8. I used to work a few doors up from this place in the early 2000s and it was a complete mystery. Amazed to see it’s still there! I understood it was an Asian karaoke place slash brothel.

  9. I remember there is Japanese on the sign and it was advertised in Japanese newspaper. I think it’s probably a hostess club like in Japan where girls drink with you

  11. I used to live next door for several years pre-covid and still couldn’t tell you what goes on there. As in sharing a wall with it. Sometimes I’d hear music but most of the time it seems shut. 3 years sharing walls, heard music maybe 3 times.

    I now live elsewhere nearby and still walk past it every day at different times. In all these years I have seen people come and go maybe 5 times. Never more than one or two people at a time, no one particularly curious looking, or two staff taking delivery of something. Virtually zero foot traffic, zero vehicle traffic, zero sounds.

    If it wasn’t for the handful of occasions life has presented itself, I’d be convinced it’s abandoned.

    I would LOVE to know what exactly goes on in there.

    Edit: _One time in early 2020 there were what sounded like refurbishment sounds! Almost forgot that incredibly valuable insight._

    Edit 2: _Should also mention when I lived next door I still stayed out past whatever hour 3-4x per week. I had the opportunity to run into patrons. Nothing. If it is a brothel, not a lot of brotheling going on. And there is no back entrance._

  14. They opened a very similar KTV club near me in Central London recently. Very tacky interior. Never see anyone going in, always deserted when I walk by. Owner pulls up often, middle aged Chinese fella with this very slick BMW. All seems like some laundering operation lol. Maybe some underground gambling. Rents must be insane there and I’ve not seen a single patron in months.

  19. I lived on Eamont St round the corner from this place for ages, and a couple of times I saw asian women dressed in what could be described as vaguely ‘provocative’ clothing, just smoking and chatting outside. We thought it was a brothel or something similar at the time.

  21. The Police must have investigated somewhere so obvious, so it must be legit.
