  5. Is there an addon or something I could install that changes all instances of the word “slam” in news articles to something else? Like is it mandatory these days for any time someone criticises someone else that its described as “slams”. Even big outlets do it.

    At the least it indicates an article that I don’t want to read. But, yeah, it might be fodder for r/dataisbeautiful to do a chart of just what percentage of posts here have that word in their titles.

  6. people being deported right now are ones with felonies and crimes like sexual assualt. over 90 migrants with sexual assualt cases who were released on bail got taken yesterday.

    so yea they were cuffed for a reason. they are criminals not just cause they crossed illegally but than committed sexual assault / assault / selling of drugs here got arrested and charged but due to being in a freidnly state or city they are released on the streets not transfered to ice.

    im a legal migrant who is here because of a genocide not because of poverty but because id be dead otherwise. i don’t have a issue with immigration being done right.

    i dont however feel bad when we deport people who have committed serious crimes here who are already here on a thin string being here illegally.

    i knew when i came here and had a visa than green card i could be deported for a felony for battery for selling drugs and a host of other crimes that lead to deportation if you are not a citizen. Not that i was looking to do any of these things in general period. but i learned about it all. to make sure i didnt fuck up because this is my one shot in the world.

    also ive seen latin countries burning the american flag lately.

    that flag isnt donald trump or his followers flag only its everyone in this nations flag. its my flag too. and i find that shit highly disrespectful and my attitude from i feel for you changes quickly to fuck you when you burn the flag of my country.

    Also, I’m from Brazil, yeah, while part of me wishes Brazil could reject those people or that there was at least some punishment in here for them, who are a bunch arseholes leaving to cause problem in a foreign country (at least the adults, the children of course don’t get much of a choice), I also don’t want them to be hot boxed in handcuffs, which is inhuman treatment.

  25. I can understand them being cuffed and shackled for everyone’s safety. Some of them are bound to be angry and desperate. They should have been given water and allowed to use the restroom though.
