But is this even legal? Can I cancel the contract if I don’t agree? 1CHF more won’t change my budget but if I wanted to change something salt would say that I signed contract for exact duration and scope

  1. Yes, what’s the point in having a fixed term contract of 24 months if providers can just change conditions as they see fit. Sunrise did the same bullshit. I’m going to cancel my contract there.

  2. I recieved the same, with an increase of 2 chf/month.
As the AGB states, you can cancel your contract within the next 30 days, otherwise they assume you accept the increase.

Has to be done via phone call, most likely they will offer you some sort of new deal to not cancel.
I dont have time for this shit every year and will move to another provider.

    Cheers

  3. Sounds like one of these traps where they can’t force you to pay more, but if you pay the extra 1.- even once, you have effectively agreed to their terms and have to pay it every month henceforth.

  4. If it makes you feel better:

Swisscom and Sunrise already raised their prices a couple of months ago.

Regarding the question if it’s legal: yes, if stated in the TOS which you accepeted. But it also gives you the right to prematurely cancel your contract if they do so.

  5. I am sure they’ll lower their prices again next year now that electricity is much less expensive again, right? RIGHT?!

  6. An update for all the people affected here.

We received 2.- increase for all 3 abonaments (me, wife and son).

According to Salt contract, Chapter 10, you have 30 days to reject the increase of price. You can do that via registered letter or via phone. If you do not reject, you silently accept. If you reject, according to the policy you are entitled to rescind the contract but Salt wants 199.- for each contract, as “administration fees” as explicitly mentioned in the contract.

Also, if you do not want to renew this crap, you need to send, for each abonament, a registered letter **not before** 6 months previous the termination date, or they will not consider the request.

I spent all afternoon reading the tiny paragraphs inside the Salt contract we signed.

  7. Never subscribe to a plan with engagement period.

Engagement are only 1 sided, especially with Salt.

  8. Bitching over 1 CHF? My god you people are insufferable.

  9. I moved to sunrise a couple of months ago 16chf unlimited monthly and 35 WiFi 😘 👌
