I’m assuming some of these models are in english right?
I’ve heard they’ve got the expected CCP censorship (don’t ‘know’ anything about the tiananmen square massacre) but I’m assuming they can be refined to eliminate that?
This is false at all. These models do not ruin the AI market.
Llama released open models on par with GPT and it ruined nothing.
People still forget that you need huge infrastructure to train and run this models
Good. Get it out, get it in use before they try to ban its use under the veil of evil nefarious communists like our own government and corporations aren’t giant piles of shit serving money instead of people selling us out to the highest bidder everyday.
This is clearly a campaign for DeepSeek
Why is everything so dramatic these days. “This AI model will change everything”. “This is the end of Silicon Valley”. Look around you, f’all is changing.
Typical CCP Agent shit posting
So yeah, we totally want to base our economic prosperity on a foreign adversary, right?? Right?!!
This is like US citizens flocking to TikTok which is just feeding the CCP information and influence over the US. It should be banned as a broader portion of the US defense strategy.
Just like the CHIPS Act that forbids US chip manufacturers from selling their highest grade chips to China makes sense. We need to be thinking longterm and strategically. If you allow a foreign adversary to become the new standard, then your economy will soon become beholden to that adversary.
It’s one of the reasons why Ukraine is so strategically important. If the world doesn’t show Russia that it can’t simply invade a sovereign nation, then China will invade Taiwan and claim the VAST majority of microchip production for the world. They already have the precious mineral reserves and the slave labor to extract those reserves for battery technology.
Open source in China doesn’t mean what you think it does. We already have enough issues with maniacs in the US government, we don’t need to directly hand the keys to the castle to foreign adversaries to “own the man”.
Xi you son of a gun you beat them at their own game again 😂✊🇨🇳

How big of a computer do these models need? I like to have one for myself.

This is not an explanation of Deepseek.
Nor is it the best.
It’s someone’s random opinion.
