Hi reddit! I have a friend whl is suffering from depression and this is the status of her kitchen stove. Any ideas on products i can use to clean it and make it sparkling new? I used a scrub daddy and the pink stuff and it didn't help.

  1. Try Universal Stone, the kit is a bit expensive but works wonders. Also lasts quite a while. The kit comes with a plastic container of the stuff and a couple of sponges.

Wet the sponge, rub it on the ”stone” and get a nice thick layer of the cleaning agent on the brown area, let it sit for a while and scrub away. Use generous amounts of both the agent and water.

    Keep me updated!

  2. an old trick is to use a slighty dampend sugarcubes to scrub it

  3. Sugarcubes work for scraping the burnt stuff off.

  4. Mr muscle has this thing you put on the stove it will dissolve a large chunk of the burnt grease then just use hot water and a scrubdaddy

  5. I would buy oven cleaning mousse, like Mr muscle for grill&oven. Spray all over, cover with cling film minimum 2 hours and wipe off. You can leave it even overnight for better results.

  6. Anti grease kitchen soap on it.

Put Elmu clear film (kelmu) top of it for cpuple hours.

Clean with sponge, scrub daddy or something like that.

If grease still remain, repeat steps 1 and 2. Should make it shiny as new :). Did that in my last apartment before moving. Also works elsewhere in kitchen if grease

  7. I’ve learnt from Aurikatariina’s youtube channel to use tons of oven cleaner, place cling wrap on top so that it does not dry out, keep like that overnight, then scrub. Time is the key with the oven cleaner.

  8. Kitchen cleaning spray bottle. A metal spatula. A sponge. First you spray it down. Then use a sponge with a rough and soft side. That should get most stuff off. Then scrape the hard shit on white metal and bright metal with a metal spatula (do not scrape the dark metal).

That’s how I cleaned my stove which looked worse than that.

  9. I would try to use a mixture of boiling water, dish soap and baking powder/soda. Let it throughouly set and try scrapping it off. Repeat if needed.

  10. Some baking soda(sodium bicarbonate) with water, scrub..and them hit it with a bit of vinegar and water like a cup of water and. And 5-10% vinegar..it will foam up a bit…and then rinse with just water a few times..maybe rinse once with sodium bicarbonate and water solution…golden!🤷‍♂️

  11. PataPata helps a lot and easy to get in the store

  12. baking soda and vinegar on top or buy something from the shop for the stove.

  13. Oven cleaner (Mr. Muscle) and plastic wrap on top, let it sit for hours then scrub Daddy it off 👌🏻

  14. Sugar bits and scrape it with them.

    Or

Anti greaser. Apply a layer on it. Cover airtight with cling film and leave overnight. Wipe clean next day.

  15. Patapata and taikasieni are your friends + cooking soda powder

  16. Cover it with baking powder paste (add a hint of water to baking powder) so it starts to bubble and cover with saran wrap and leave over night. The stuff should come off just by wiping.

  17. You know what would be cool?

That people from that area would get together with sugar cubes, Mr Muscle, Patapata and beer polishing that thing nice and shiny while making new friends and helping this one guy out.

  18. Wet, dust with soda, leave overnight, scrub with a sugarcube.
