  5. I’ve been out of the country for just over a month and when I got back yesterday and made a store run I found Safeway had nearly doubled the cost of a loaf of bread. Screw eggs. I need my morning toast. $4.99 to $7.99 a loaf. Fuckers

  6. Those egg prices haven’t hit my local supermarket yet in MA. $2.99 for a dozen large, $4.49 for an 18-pack. Pretty much the same it’s been post-COVID. Now maybe the effects of H5N1 hasn’t reached us yet.

    The non-local eggs have definitely gone up noticeably.

    Therefore egg prices will not be reported. And if the bird flu or any other “covid” type situation happens….. it won’t be reported.

  25. Since the election, in my area, gas has gone up $.50 a gallon.

  26. I personally don’t buy eggs often, but now it’s definitely not happening. They’re flirting around $5 at my smaller town Aldi. Feel like a lot of people are just going to stop as well.
