  10. In the mid 90s he played to a mostly empty lower Sproul Plaza at Berkeley one afternoon. I listened to them play for their 45 or so minute set and went up and talked to him after. He was so kind and friendly. Afterwards I walked straight to the nearest music store and bought his CD. We were cheated out of growing old with him. It hurts to listen to his music still.

  11. I was also ashamed of being in PEOPLE’s ‘59 most beautiful’ so I did the same but made sure NOBODY saw the issue.
