My worry is Trump will go full dictator and the democrats in power will be too worried about their stock portfolio and accept the dictatorship. I’d rather publicly not recognizing the president and using the national guard for self defense than just allowing the country to fall to fascism. On day 1, Trump decided that he had the power to override explicit text in the constitution—which, if allowed, would be the end of our constitutional republic. What becomes legal is whatever Trump wants and therefore there really is no constitution. If there is no constitution, there is no recognizable president.
