Reese Witherspoon Shares How She Was Made Foreman on Jury After Starring in Legally Blonde: ‘I Didn’t Finish College’

1. > “Well listen, I did not want to do jury duty,” Witherspoon told host Graham Norton, 61. “But I remember it was after Legally Blonde. It was probably like seven years after Legally Blonde, I got called for jury duty and it was in Beverly Hills.”

   > She continued, “I thought, ‘Surely they’re not gonna pick me.’ They picked me for a long trial, y’all. It was probably two weeks. I was on the jury.”

   > She continued, “We went every day and then we went to deliberation and so at the very end they say, ‘Okay, well somebody in this group has to be the foreman’ and they all unanimously are like, ‘Her.’ ”

3. It’s my second favorite film from her after election 

4. Can you imagine looking over at your jury and seeing Reese Witherspoon? Lol.

5. I was the foreman of the jury at 19 because we just put all of our numbers into a pile and randomly selected. Certainly not a job a 19 year old should have lol

6. I was in jury selection one time and, during the questioning session, we were asked if we had an opinion on some aspect of the trial and I piped up. I said what I believed and, I did believe what I stayed.

   I was still selected for the trial. Apparently, both sides saw me as a viable candidate.

   Ultimately, as all trials do, one of those parties lost their case. Such is life.
