Kate Middleton to Make Last-Minute Appearance with Prince William at Poignant Event — Her First Since Remission

  2. Love that Catherine is able to attend this important event. Hate having media outlets posting.

  3. This makes sense as an event for her to attend if only because of her previous work with Holocaust survivors. I wonder if the survivor whose portrait Kate took is still with us and if they will be in attendance at this event.

  4. I thought she was going to attend that, I think them not confirming it earlier was probably because of 2 things:

    -Not putting pressure on her if she isn’t able to, they didn’t announce the hospital visit either, so we’ll have to wait and see if they keep doing it

    -Not stepping on Charles’ toes, his office has been making it a big deal that he’s going to Auschwitz for the first time and all the journalists are there with him, so Kate’s probably trying to keep her appearance as low-key as possible

  6. To be fair though, didn’t she say she’s been in remission for like a year? And this isn’t her first appearance in a year. So the headline is pretty misleading.

    Edit: sorry, I don’t know where I read that she’d been in remission for a year. I guess that couldn’t be the case. But it still isn’t the first appearance since remission, just since the announcement. It still feels weird to me. Are they going to do the “first” everything since her diagnosis or return for how long? It seems ghoulish to me.
