  1. Media outlets owned by billionaires and mega corps do not want to pick sides, nor do they want to piss of their billionaire investors, thus “we just aren’t sure what the cause is”.

  2. There also is never mention of the climate cause of extreme cold weather caused by polar vortex disruption

  4. Climate change is harder to explain and, like most things that are factual, more nuanced. “Newsom done it” is a click-getter and a post- sharer as people get to revel in being right about those liberals after all.

The media should be informing people, of course, but with the hours people spend on their phones every day, nothing is stopping them from going to their favorite search engine, typing in “climate change news”, and looking at the results. All of the stories (and more) I see posted to r/climate show up, and I don’t see a single “climate change is a hoax” story listed when I do so.

    Most people claim to be concerned about climate change, so perhaps it’s time they act like it.

  6. 80+ MPH sustained winds + long term drought + increased temperatures + human infrastructure crowding nature = what could possibly go wrong????
