  1. I agree with every single sentiment in that article.

  2. Use spaced underwater satchel charges and make scrap metal out of it!!!

  3. Yeah sure… No, never.

And the ulterior motive: But if it should ever resume, it should resume through pipelines running through Poland.

  4. The Polish, understanding exactly what we are dealing with once again. He’s dead right about this.

  5. I disagree. It could be an effective bargaining tool. Leave it open, and if in the future you don’t have to buy it. But it feels like a stupid idea to take a powerful bargaining tool of the table.

  6. I don’t think repairing the pipelines is gonna happen. [Reuters reported](https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/nord-stream-sues-insurers-london-over-2022-pipeline-blasts-2024-03-12/) that repairing Nord Stream pipelines would cost some 1.2 billion dollars and i don’t see European nations willing to put any money on it. russia on the other would not have such money to sink into it just for the hope of getting the gas contracts renewed.

So, to the foreseeable future, the pipes are corroding away until they are completely useless and less worth then scrap metal.
