  1. Information about the protest: There have been repeated protests since the November roof collapse at the Novi Sad train station in northern Serbia, which killed 15 people.

Demonstrators blame the incident on widespread corruption, nepotism and poor construction work and have called for swifter judicial action against those found responsible. The main station, which had been refurbished twice in recent years, was part of a wider infrastructure deal involving Chinese state companies.

Prosecutors have indicted 13 people, including the former Infrastructure Minister Goran Vesic. The indictments, however, have not yet been confirmed by a court to become valid. Vucic (President) and his supporters accuse the students of working under orders from foreign powers to overthrow the authorities, while pro-government supporters have launched repeated attacks on protesters. 2. The government underestimated their perseverance and unity. Keep it up ❤️

  3. The despotic president which was propaganda minister in the 90s will not leave office

  4. No wonder this is happening when Serbia is being run by a former propaganda chief. The man has lied to his people for years, finally when shit hit the fan people caught up. Get that mfer and his buddies out and put them on trial for fucking up the nation and the region.

  5. Good job Serbians! Don’t let them make you forget about the tragedy that they have done!

  6. I have a genuine question on Belgrade right now. I have a tourist visit planned there and I was wondering if these (absolutely necessary) protests impact experiencing the city.

I am aware this may sound insensitive in light of the seriousness of the situation but would appreciate a serious answer.

  7. How many doesn’t matter, in fact. Until protesters will take the right to use force and violence in their own hands, they will change nothing. Belarus and Georgia situations ended badly just because of peaceful protests, on other side Syria showed how exactly this can be.

Edit: they must understand that they are not dealing with democracy, they are dealing with Russian puppets whose place is in the grave.

  8. All the respect for you! I just hope when our government will fk everything up(which they are diligently working on) the people will take you as an example

  9. Support and love from Poland to all good people in Serbia ❤️
    It’s gonna be better!

  10. Huge respect from Poland. Wishing you people winning this fight for your future. You are showing the power of society. You should be the example for many other nations ruled by moronic politicians. These politicians shall be reminded they are accountable for their actions.

  11. For those who are curious about the background of the protests, the official “Support the Students” website provides all the information about the protests. Here is the link to the website: [Podrži Studente](https://podrzistudente.org/?lang=en)

  12. I cant describe it fair enough, but I can try.

The vibes are off the charts. A lot of young people, smiling, having fun. There is some drinking, but noone is wasted.

A lot of the younger people will stay there over night, they brought tents and chairs and whatnot.

They are playing cards, volleyball, music, dancing.

One group even roasted a pig!

There are also kids, middle aged and older people.

You can hear whistles all the time, but not from everywhere all at once. It is actually calming.

They have organized good enough, so they have portable toilets.

It seems like a festival, but with no agenda to profit. Just people being together.

I wish we had this kind of organizational capabilities and energy when I was a student.

  13. Wish we could see something like this in Croatia, full support to yall
