LONDON — North Korea’s entry into Russia’s war in Ukraine, including through sending troops, has demonstrated how Asian and European security are “connected,” Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna told Nikkei.

North Korea and Russia in 2024 signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty under which the North has provided Russia with both weapons and troops. Although many North Korean soldiers are believed to have been killed or injured, there are reports that the country plans to send more.
