I’ve been looking for this piece for a long time. I love it.
Fairly certain that is a Firefly quote expanded. “May have been the losin’ side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one”

Not convinced a war over religion and the divine right of kings fought mostly between Scots really had a right side 🤷🏼♀️

Edit; sorry to be a downer. The Jacobite cause was awful but gets muddled up with Scottish independence because they talked lots of Scots into dying for them.
The Scottish wars of independence ended (successfully) with Bannockburn in 1314.
