This is clearly the app on my phone that has the most trackers… No need to ask why the shipping is free lol.

Edit: I now have 120 tracking attempts from Digitec bruh
Digitec runs targeted ads on the world’s largest advertising networks. News at 11.
Wow an internet company selling your data? I’m surprised!
I love Digitec! Their care support is just amazing! I trust them on everything
Lmao and I know people so damn addicted to consumer electronics, that they set the digitec site as their starting page on their webbrowser.
Just block them lol
It’s hard to say for sure, especially at first glance, but from my perspective as a website developer, it seems like they allow for sharing via social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and then the code for “integrated plugins” regularly run on pages/screens. So each time you view a product, the code runs to allow to you share it, whether you ever need it or not. This is how Facebook tracks you but Digitec doesn’t get anything out of it.
Google integration is more likely to be Google Analytics, and that’s useful on the development side to know what pages and products are getting the most views from your users.
Looking at the icons this is likely just from the social plugins (Facebook Like Button, Sharing, etc.) and nothing special at all.
You can read about it in the Privacy Policy. There you can also read that Digitec does not sell your data to third parties. They do however share it with all other organizations in the Migros group.
Unrelated but on the topic of privacy… have you guys found it difficult to unsubscribe from Swiss newsletter emails? Compared American or EU companies i found Swiss ones tend to be less keen on unsubscribing
Uhm, they offer social login, so wow suprise suprise they have integrated these in the app too
General rule of thumb for any mobile app: Unless you absolutely need to use features of the app, don’t download the app. Wait until you get home and use their website, where it’s much easier to control your data protection with browser tools.
It’s funny that people think being “tracked” = selling my data
How you dare doubt the all almighty Digitec?! .. hmm, I’m sure I don’t need new headphones but mmeee, ordered!
