3 bedroom, €5,900 a month, unfurnished

  1. Apparently it has no garden and works are still underway

Edit – I’m not sure why I’m being down voted, I’m certainly not trying to justify the price. It appeared on that crazyirishhouseprices page on Instagram.

  2. To be fair though that is an insane house! Have you looked at the interior? It’s of course worth 5,900 it’s just being marketed on Daft where normally that would have gone through a letting agent direct. It has wine fridge for Christ sake! The kitchen has more marble than a Roman cathedral! Look at the bedroom light fittings. Those cost 30 quid minimum compared to most rentals where you’d see 15 quid fittings if you even saw wall fittings rather than just a lightbulb in the ceiling.

  3. I used to rent a couple of door down when I was just out of college. It’s an amazing location and has only improved in the 20 years since I lived there. Probably not 6k a month but it’s one of my favourite parts of Dublin.

  4. Many years ago I rented a 3 grand a month apartment that my company happily paid for as it saved them a fortune on the equivalent hotel costs. This home will also probably be a corporate let for some foreign CEO and his/her family.

  5. Just worked out that my monthly mortgage is 13% of that figure. That’s not some humble brag or flex for the poor folks in the rental market. Just pointing out the insanity of that number. I also obviously don’t live in Dublin.

  6. When we were house hunting back in 2017, we went to viewing for this house. It was a wreck back then.
The new owners have been working on this for a good few years. Amazing to see what it looks like now compared to when I was in it.

  7. Not related to this particular property but what is it with long term leases and furnishings?? I’m looking to rent an apartment for a year or even two and I do not want someones disgusting couch and horrible dining table.
I want to decorate and buy my own stuff. It’s imposible to find an unfurnished apartment!

  8. You set up two companies.

Company A has a few of houses to rent at crazy prices.

Company B gets alot of credit, sells alot of vouchers and goes bust from renting corporate houses from Company A.

    That’s how I’d play it.

  9. It’s fine honestly, 3 couples, all working, that’s only 1000€ per person. Nice deal 🤡
