Are both parties still the same?

  1. I have zero empathy for the brutal meeting with reality the “lesser of two evils” and “same thing, different colours” people are going to have

You were warned times and times over and over again

Enjoy the wallowing mess you’ve plunged you and all your allies into

  2. Now Treason Trump and Netanyahu will LEVEL GAZA. Whatta win for the pro-Palestinian Lefties.

  3. Both parties aren’t the same. They DO serve the same INTERESTS. They both receive bribes from the same oligarchs. The military industrial complex continues on the same despite the president. The underlying problems with our economy are still the same. And it doesnt matter what pre-screened politician we elect, unless we fundamentally change the economic system, any victory for the working class will be short-lived and later taken back under another administration.

  4. Establishment Democrats always choose to blame the left instead of taking responsibility for their own failures. Happens every single time, and it’s a deliberate brainwashing ploy. Dems could easily win national elections (even with the tilted EC) by simply embracing the anti-corporate, anti-oligarch policies that made FDR’s New Deal Democrat so successful. But noooo….

  5. I’m more left wing than Bernie in his wildest dreams, more pacifist than Gandhi. I’d vote Democrats any election of the week (I’m not American though)

  6. Big brain democrats in 2024:

“Let’s rally an anti-fascist coalition to oppose the GOP/Trump!”

“OMG why are our voters getting so mad about us supporting fascists in a foreign country, and why aren’t they taking our anti-fascist rhetoric seriously??!”

  7. has the democratic party even tried to look a bit less Nazi than Trump?

  8. People will make any excuse in the world for a chance to look better than the guy standing next to em. For this type of person nothing is enough because they don’t actually care about the cause, they merely like the aesthetic. So long as they can maintain the aesthetic of being the most good and most true supporter of the cause they don’t really mind if the real world situation worsens. In their mind it all serves to prove them right. The more people suffer, starve, and die, the higher the number they can cite the next time they get the chance to moralize. They legitimately do not actually care about reality, their concern exists solely for the ideal.

  9. Keep punching left, I’m sure we will beat the right with this approach!

  10. Hey dumbasses, maybe this stuff she was selling nobody wanted to buy. Maybe the Democrats need to stop offering the status quo with a 1% improvement to your tax portfolio and start actually affecting people’s fucking lives. Controlled opposition motherfuckers

  11. “Holocaust Harris” like DUDE TRUMP SELLS VODKA EXCLUSIVELY TO ISRAEL

  12. If you only have the choice between eating a spoon full of shit or a plate full of shit, any rational person would choose the spoon.

  13. The whole narrative about the Democrats and Palestine drives me up the fucking wall. This is bullshit, it was bullshit, it will continue to be bullshit.

The people that made Palestine that the core of their political identity had the opportunity to realize that “punishing” the Democrats by voting third party or staying home or “hoping they learn their lesson” is a one way trip to both a Trump presidency and a digit or two missing from the next estimate of the population of Palestine and did not do so in time.

“But voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil!”

Yeah, no duh. That’s how democracy works. You get two choices. That’s it. On Election Day, the next President of the United States was either going to be Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. There was no other way this was going to go. So if you lived in one of the seven states that actually matter (sorry Maine and Wyoming), you got to make a choice that either contributed to the victory of one of them or contributed to the victory of the other. That’s it. Staying home is a choice that benefits one or the other. Voting third party is a choice that benefits one or the other. Actively discouraging voters by spreading “both sides” propaganda is a choice that benefits, well, only one.

“But if we don’t hold their feet to the fire—“ You know who you have absolutely zero leverage over? Donald Trump. He’s not going to give even the smallest furry sliver of a rat’s ass what any leftwinger holding a sign at Berkeley has to say about Gaza. So if you think your freedom of protest can and should be used to leverage a Presidential administration into doing something different on Palestine before it’s too late, you missed your opportunity. Of the two of them, she was the only one that had even the slightest fragment of a chance of listening to public outcry and shaping US policy accordingly. Now Trump will be in charge and this ceasefire will last just as long as Bibi is willing to pretend and then he’ll just go back and annex it forcefully and call it a day.

It didn’t end up making the difference anyway. Every county in the nation moved right, including all the ones that couldn’t have given a shit about Palestine. But there were a non-zero number of progressives that threw Palestinians under the bus to make a point about how we’re throwing Palestinians under a bus.

  14. Isn’t Trump trying to kick the Palestinians out of Gaza and is now giving Israel BIGGER bombs?

  15. They never were! People who say crap like this are lazy thinkers! Do i think my party does many of the things the other party does? Hell yes! But most of what they do is a far cry form the opposing party! Not only this, I know if enough of us like minded people get our crap together, We have the power and influence to change what we don’t like about our party!

  16. Notice how these protesters all disappeared when Trump won. Almost like that was their goal all along…

  17. Democrats/republicans its different but too similar to matter. Personal power given to capitalist by the American people’s choice to consume, accompanied by the exploitation of the working class, seasoned with a reduction in education has grown a greater power than democracy. This is how most democracies die.

  18. They both service capital first and foremost. The culture wars give the illusion of difference and most people fixate on such and miss the forest for a tree.

  19. Yeah when it’s Hitler 1 vs Hitler 2, you can’t blame people for not wanting to vote for Hitler.

  20. He wants us to protest in the streets so he can unleash the military on us. I don’t know how many times I have to say it, this guy is not our friend and never was.

  21. Let’s stop acting like the killer Kamala people acting cam up with that protest vote, they got brainwashed off social media and they thought they were being political

Those people are a podcast or two away from being a trumper anyways

  22. No, one is openly evil and stupid, the other acts as though they are benevolent while upholding the very things that ALLOW the other side to be openly evil and stupid, while also being stupid themselves.

    They’re both stupid.

  23. If democrats take office again and want a chance at fixing this, they are going to have to dismantle what Trump did, remove his lotyalists from office and replace them with a mix of bipartisan, Democrat and Republican leaders … but sane ones. I do not believe they are the same.

I believe the republicans genuinely are in the middle of a massive power grab that’s been in the work for decades. And democrats are still playing nice
