  2. Israel wants us to think it’s a nice guy. It’s THREE YEARS late to the party – despite being the USA’s launching pad in the Middle East. The USA was late to the party too.

    This is way complicated, but Israel has been chumtastic with Russia for years. Now with Russia out of the Middle East it just wants to be on the winning team.

    People are gonna vote me down I know it. But it’s hardly Israel being generous (like when Ukraine donated Grain to Syria) when it’s confiscated Soviet weapons that it’s sending to Ukraine.

    Since the start of the most recent invasion, Israel’s current government has taken the view that Ukraine doesn’t matter because the only thing that matters is the narrowest and shortest possible term analysis of Israel’s national security. By that reckoning they estimated that Russia was their best friend in all the world because they appeared to have similar interests in the Syrian Civil War — and Ukraine was nothing. Despite being the victims of an attempted modern genocide by their “friend,” Russia.

    Israel’s government would never have changed this view except that they were forced to acknowledge that it was the very same Russia who armed Israel’s enemies and enabled the attacks against them. Like so many others, they thought they could get what they wanted from a relationship with Putin, only to discover that they were being screwed. Controlled via their own easily-manipulated formula of what is important.

    The other factor that changed their view was that Russia was defeated in Syria by forces aided by Ukrainians. Huh. It seems that Ukraine does matter after all. Another mistake.

    But maybe in Jerusalem they are finally ready to pursue real security for their own country. Instead of the nonsense that led them into an alliance with Russia.

  7. From the footage shown it all looked very janky…scrappy aks…a tripod gun with bent barrel…axes and china knives with taped handles…not really going to win the war.
