3. Closest its ever been to midnight;

   Some of the reasons mentioned are insufficient action on climate change, US withdrawal from WHO and Paris Agreement, rise of misinformation/AI, incorporation of AI into automated weapons of war, nuclear weapons treaties are expiring, threat of nuke war never greater… (ask your Grandparents about the Cuban Missile Crisis)….

   Hope that national leaders will sit down and talk, and the hands will move back next year.

9. I really hate the doomsday clock tbh. It feels like just a fear tactic for the public. We all know things are shitty and we all know the powers that be are screwing it all for the rest of us. There’s no need to instil more fear on top of that.

10. We should not use a clock. It would be better to use a gun (not so coincidentally called Russian roulette), and they tell us how many bullets are in the chamber.

14. As this year continues, I think it will continue to tick forward until we see it make it to zero due to Shitler initiating a world war.

15. I love how automatically this is squarely Trump’s fault. No. This is a global idiocy problem with most governments. Climate is always the last thing they care about. Russia, China are equally stupid as the US.
