    Rallies were held in Berlin, Cologne and other cities in Germany on Saturday in protest at the rise of the AfD party ahead of the election.

    The party was denounced in songs and banners carried by protesters at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, with activists drawing attention to the far right in Europe and concerns about the new Trump administration.

    Funnily, I nearly wrote “humans” instead of “Germans”, and it did not feel out of place, considering the far right surge all over the world.

  16. I will light incense and pray to the gods that Europe sees what’s happening in the US and wakes up. This is an attack on European (and global) democracy. The AfD and all other far-right parties in Europe must be investigated and stopped.

OK, the nazi wants his corporate friends to take over Europe while his friends…do nazi stuff: take away reproductive rights (yeah, that’s gonna go real well with the population), mandatory prayer in schools (that will also go real well), start doing stuff against migrants, forbid transgender existence, take away gay marriage, etc. OK, then what?

    The nazi’s baboon friend puts tariffs in for the whole solar planet,, the whole solar system even. They are the best tariffs in galaxy, some say in the the universe. The nazi manages to somehow get his friends into power over a good part of Europe. Then what? Russia takes over Ukraine. OK. Then what? 

    Do the tariffs magically go away? Do the German/French/Italian economies magically improve over night? Will the Chinese stop flooding the markets with poor products? Will they start buying more German cars and French luxury items? Will Europe magically have more money for investments to catch up in terms of tech and innovation? Do the energy prices magically go down? Will the population aging disappear in a span of 3 years? Will the housing market magically improve and all the other insanities promised by European nazis. Will the baboon start selling oil and gas to Europe at low low prices? Will US once again invest in European companies? Because while he can executive order his way to emperor of US in short time, none of the nazis of Europe will be able to do the same. They don’t have 50% of the popular vote like Trump did in a 2 party system. In a 2 party system, you can use all the power of the office to dismantle the other party. In Europe you cannot really do that. There is no 2-party system here. They’ve tried in Poland. They’ve tried in Hungary (the most successful so far and still starting to fail). They tried in Romania. They are trying in Slovakia. But they have 30-35%. Everybody else has the rest. Their success rests on the ability to secure an improvement in the economical life of the Europeans. For which they have 0 solutions especially if the global economy gets even worse which will happen in very short term. 

    Will they try to dismantle the unions so they don’t take to the streets? Will they take away the retirees benefits? Will they make medical care basically useless as it’s in US? How well will that go for the far right if the majority of voters will be poorer and in worse health and with less rights? 

    And let’s look at the recent history. The Europeans have a history of mass social movements. The failed European leaders tend to end up in prison or dead.

    For Hitler it worked because he managed to basically take over the German army. But current days European armies don’t work the same way, not even the same way as the US army. I truly doubt the French or even the Italian army will fire upon the furious population to defend LePen or the less successful Cicciolina. OK, they get Europe for 3 years and it will suck for those 3 years. How are they going to hold it?

  25. Looking at the polls they do need to do a fuck more then just that because the nazis seriously could get a lot of votes, enough to rot out politicis and the government.
