Hallo Zusammen,
I am the same guy who posted few months ago about why Germans dont really care much about keeping their white sneakers clean and I got some really good and reasonable feedback from you all.
So I have been all observing this since almost a year now that I see more Nike sneakers than Adidas here in Germany, especially when it comes to those white ones. First I was that its just coincidence alot of time that I see white Nike Sneakers being worn by all the young ones around. Later I also read some [article](https://www.themds.com/companies/nike-outranks-adidas-in-its-own-home-sells-more-footwear-that-its-arch-rival.html) online that since 2020 Nike has been outranking Adidas in Germany when it comes to Sneaker sales, so theres that. But still I wanted to know your guys upfront view on why the you/young ones/others choose Nike over Adidas. What is about Nike that appeal you most ?
I personally like both brands and wear them on different occassions, but still it bothers me a bit that why mostly people choose Nike over Adidas. And no I am not an Adidas employee trying to fish for customer interest etc. etc. And this question applies to everyone in Germany and not just Germans.
Appreciate your all feedback.

Marketing and especially selling an image. Also peer pressure. The common youth factors.
No idea I own a pair of Stan Smith but I guess Nike is kind of seen as the cooler sneaker brand with more basketball stars and rappers wearing them.
Maybe it also is about the fit. Most adidas, puma and nike shoes all kind of got a very special fit to them. In my friend circle anyone who wears a puma shoe for example told me that adidas doesn’t really fit them comfortably.
I only wear Nike because the sizes are always reliable. I can order a pair in size 13 and it will fit. Saves a lot of hassle for me and I like the style. In my experience, Nike is the only sneaker brand that is consistent in this way.
I prefer Nike over Adidas simply because of the look of the sneakers. I have a huge “crush” on Air Max 1 and Air Max 90 and collect them for some years now. Adidas oldschool sneaker look somehow meh to me to me.
I almost exclusively wear sneaker and am not focused on a particular brand, I have Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Reebok and puma shoes, with that being said, the swoosh just looks way better on a shoe than any other branding imo. And from my perspective that’s not even debatable.
Adidas will grow market share as Ukrainian refugees arrive.
I wear Asics sneakers so there’s that
