In Moldova’s Transnistria region, residents survive without heating in middle of winter

Since January 1, Moldova has been grappling with an energy and political crisis whose outcome remains uncertain. In the middle of winter, Gazprom stopped supplying gas to Transnistria, a self-proclaimed independent Moldovan region run by pro-Moscow separatists, after a transit contract with Ukraine expired.

  3. Stalin deported to Siberia 2 MILLION Romanians from Moldova and brought in 2 million RUSSIANS 1945, because Churchill and Roosevelt agreed to that. Stalin also deported large numbers of Poles, Germans to Siberia.
    Deport ALL the Russians to Siberia and bring back home the Romanians.
    Who the F*CK pays for that?
    That would be justice.

  8. Why don't ucraine gives them some fire they're wasting in Russia ? It's not fair, ucraine is igniting fires in russia and leaving this people dying frozen.

Ukraine does what ity always does when regions exercise the international UN Charter "The people's right to self-determination" They shut off 85% of water flowing to Crimea by shutting down the canal. They cut off water to the Donbas with shelling which also targeted civilians. Both after the Western-supported Fascist who collaborated with the Nazis in WW2 forced a coup of the democratically elected with government. All with financial, intelligence, NGOs, and arms support for those Azov militias! So no surprise. The Ukrainians decided not to renew the contract and deprive people from energy or resources. They even did it to Slovakia. Who needs enemies when you have friends like the Ukrainians eh?

  12. terrible, a month without putins gas and they are angry, but when putin uses gas money to invade other countries they are silent. this Transnistria fake country created by russia needs to be absorbed and the slavic population exiled back to russia

  13. What you have to know as well is that what happend in Ukraine 2014 in the eastern part of the country, invaded by russian troops, happend before in in Moldova. It resulted in Transnistria with the criminal oligarch, apointed by putin on the top. And one more thing: Moldova payd for the gas in Teansnistria. When you want to freeze the wars, you have to know that it doesnt end aktually. It contienuies without attention of the world.

  14. They had three years to plan for the end of Russian natural gas and should accept that the free Russian gas will never return.

    Its hard to have any respect for a people that sold out their future for free natural gas.
