Suits creator Aaron Korsh has discussed the possibility of old stars returning to the show’s Los Angeles-set spinoff .
The hit USA Network series , which played a part in Meghan Markle ‘s rise to fame, aired its final episode in 2019, but its appears that it’s not set to simply end there. In October 2023, it was confirmed that Suits would return with a spinoff series and it looks as though fans will get a whole new storyline to look forward to, with major plot twists expected.
The new spinoff stars Stephen Amell and Bryan Greenberg, but Korsh insisted that he’s not trying to “replace” originals from the show, hinting at the potential for former stars to reprise their role, including none other than the Duchess of Sussex , who played lawyer Rachel Zane.

“Not trying to replace our beloved originals. Just a new crew working in a different city handling different kinds of cases,” Korsh said. “It seems like people are all wishing it was the originals back. I expected this and can’t blame them. I can only hope they give Suits LA an open-minded try. If they do, I really believe they will grow to love it.”
Despite trying to dodge questions on which characters he’d like to return to the show, he admitted that he was “open” to the idea of old stars like Markle returning, but it won’t be soon as he’s focused on the “launching these characters on this show.”
As streaming numbers of Suits continue to soar, the Duchess of Sussex’s staggering salary for the past series was revealed. Her brilliant portrayal of the talented and intelligent Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama was the acting big break she’d been chasing for years.
And as the show succeeded, she was handed a large (and well-deserved) salary. Meghan recorded more than 100 episodes over seven seasons and she reportedly earned almost $45,000 per episode, putting her annual salary at over $400,000. As part of her contract with the show, Meghan is still earning royalties from her appearances.
Rumors ignited that Meghan’s potential return to Suits was to come after her on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams – who played Mike Ross in the drama – said he “hopes she comes back.” Speaking at the Golden Globe Awards in January, the actor hinted that he and the Duchess could return to the spin-off. He said: “Yes, yes let’s go, I’ll do it. Yeah I’m ready, Mike and Rachel in Seattle,” and added: “I think Meghan’s a fantastic actor, so we’d be lucky to have her back in the industry.”
