he knows his country is destroyed , GDP down by 85% since 2011
he cant fully antagonize neither Russia, the West or Iran, since he desperately needs economic recovery
but if the West plays its hand rights, it can convince Syria to drop all its relations with Russia
it already happened to some extend, the reason why Russia is now leaving the Tartus ports in January is that the EU promised them sanctions removal if they kick out Russian navy
Jolani is playing so safe, he asked UN to intervene to stop Israel from advancing in Syria, he doesn’t want to fight Israel to not antagonize the US

They should have embargo the military equipments instead of letting it go (specially the S-400), because they will never see that money, Russia is simply bankrupt for generation.

Anyone see credible analysis why HTS is allowing Russia to remove its equipment rather than require Russia to pay for the privilege of recovering their equipment or selling it to other parties?
