I am happy to announce that my side quest has now concluded with the best ending possible. The journals are delivered according to Johanna’s wishes into safe hands, and I am satisfied with this conclusion. It was a surprisingly epic little side quest, and the experience in itself was it’s own reward – I got to do lots of fun detective work, made a sorta viral thread in this subreddit, got featured twice in the digital pages of Finnish newspapers and I got to do a good deed. Wow, you can’t say you get to do all that often all at once, so I am happy. You were all lovely with your supportive comments and messages, and if nothing else I hope that this little storyline was interesting to follow at least. I have no additional comments to make regarding the people involved due to privacy, but all parties seem satisfied so I’m glad to be able to say that. I don’t know what my next quest will be or if we will ever meet again on this sub, but my already positive views and feelings for Finland has definitely been strengthened and I hope you are satisfied with my performance despite being a silly Swede. I have aquired some finnish drink and soundtrack to listen to today as I celebrate, and I sincerely thank you all again – I could not have done this without your help!

Awesome work my friend! Tack!
Thank you, kind stranger 🙂
Im curious, did Seiska (or anyone else) contact to offer money, and if yes, how much. I’m impressed you did the right thing

All’s well that ends well, quoth Shakespeare. Big thanks to you for your kind deed!
Now you have the tale to tell that, for a short while in your life, you could have been the Tabloid god of Finland.
Good on ya OP 🙂❤️
Respect!
And Seiska didn’t call you?
That was a good deed, well done lilla gubben!

Nicely done!
Epic!!
I was just thinking earlier today how this adventure of yours is going. Glad it got a good ending! It was mighty kind of you, I can imagine many would’ve been tempted with an easy pay day.
Well done! Hats off to you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bra jobbet! Well done indeed
Maybe next time she visit sweden she Will give you personal singing and lapdance session. Just joking but you did really heroically and showed that there are People Who have good values and don’t sell them for 15minutes or fame or 30 silver coins. You should be proud of yourself and your values.
Good job! I can’t believe that some people were confused about what being a good person actually is…somebody who is good to everybody without prejudice or restraint. You have put a good thing into the world, and however small or not, it will express itself as good somewhere else by return. I don’t believe in gods, karma or any of that, but simply put, if everybody did one nice thing per day then the world would be so much better. A smile, opening a door for somebody, even saying “huomenta/good morning”. Noticing people that might otherwise be invisible and feel forgotten. It genuinely does not take that much, and what you have done here is A LOT.
Just curious how did you end up contacting her in the end?
Wow you are awesome, wish we were friends. All this reminds me of someone. I’m a poor person from Asia now living in the US but I used to have a Norwegian friend when Livejournal was still popular and we always talked about meeting one day “when I get out of poverty” but we’ve since lost contact and all attempts at finding her has gone nowhere. Anyway, i’m happy for you!
Thanks for posting the conclusion. Sounds like you had a blast, well done!
Take care of that record. Its quite rare and not some random cheapo thing
Wow cool
Now this is what Internet should be like every day. Well done young man! Or woman. I am too lazy to click your profile.
