Today, 88-year-old Ukrainian Roman Schwarzman spoke in the Bundestag. He survived the Holocaust—at the age of five, he was deported to a ghetto. And after the full-scale invasion, a Russian missile struck his home.

  1. His power is only as great as we allow it to be!

When I was 18 years old, I had the privilege to speak to an Auschwitz survivor. Luckily I myself was old enough and very interested in the topic to appreciate this experience even back than. Many years later I still consider this one of my most memorable events in life.

I truly hope that his speech has a somewhat similar influence on some of our German politicians.

  2. First the Nazis tried to kill him and now it’s the Russians. The latter probably even hurts more since they’re neighbors and share a long history together.

  3. Is it Wagenknecht at 0.39? If so, I wonder what she thinks now and when she speaks about not sending weapons to Ukraine?

  4. A very impressive speech from a person who has experienced a lot of evil in his life.

  5. Fuck these idiots standing there because thay have to. They don’t even care. You can see it on their faces, the sad face is because they have to stay there and listen. How do i know? Was there anyone there, after he finish talking, standing up saying “don’t worrie, we will take care of this” or “lets send more, do more”? The answear is no

  6. That was a moving speech. Wake up world and stop putler.

  7. I was moved to tears at this and his resilience throughout his life. The politicians of my country must do more and deliver not talk about it. We have done a lot but we as Germany and Germans can do more – we owe it to this man and his country

  8. Russian petrochemical money, deals and kickbacks have taken hold in Germany. They should call it Berlinograd, like some people call Londongrad due to the large number of oligarchs living there, peacefully, without shame. The same corruption has tainted the UK government as well though not nearly as thoroughly that we mere plebians should give up hope.

  9. And Scholz and his party the SPD don’t even have the backbone to vote in favour of a motion to ban the right-wing AfD (pro-Russia and Putler!!!) party, instead he and his party prefer to remain silent and watch as we have exactly the same problem as in 1933! Olaf Scholz has no backbone, this coward!
