I think more elevated rail would make a lot of sense here.
I also think it would be a very hard sell. I think bits were to be elevated as part of metro North at one stage?
The Hanoi metro is similar in design and completed last year. It took one hell of a long development though. Still, looking at Dublin not even get past the planning stage has you wondering which city is in the first world.
The worrying part to me is India is meant to be a third world country… some of the infrastructure they have is years ahead of ours
Is there any way for us to campaign/petition/beg for a Dublin metro to be built? Is there anything we can do to make the government follow up on it? Or are we completely powerless in this?
The one thing I want to see in this country is just a decent metro system. Everyday I think about how we don’t have a metro.
Bangkok’s BTS is also very cool
Dublin’s too small for a metro and too spread out so less density.
