  1. This is nothing new. He said he “deserved” a third term back in 2020. And yet people still voted for him.

  3. It’s been the end of America as we know it for a very long time. It’s just been a worse and worse end as time goes on.

    This past week has been particularly fast, but that’s what you get with an emboldened Trump, a corrupt, weak and toothless system, and an apathetic citizenry that has been expertly tamed and rendered harmless.

  8. It shows that the trump administration is really just the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 tool to make it look like all the long standing laws and procedures in government are no obstacle for the dictator’s whims. The choreography comes directly from Project 2025.

    The end plan is to continue subverting laws and creating the chaos necessary to precipitate a civil emergency large enough to call for the suspension of our Constitution, the bill of rights and the governmental departments which maintain the daily operations needed for our citizens.

    If this heinous administration achieves this goal, democracy in our country, the rule by consent of the people will cease to exist. The Heritage Foundation’s end game is to remake our country into a dogmatic Theocracy. The American experiment, which has allowed our republic to become the most powerful, most wealthy and most coveted nation in history will be extinguished.

  14. I’m thinking the writer is going on the assumption that Trump will be an effective president and all those Independents will back him. Anecdotally, I’ve heard more already regret voting for him than those who approve of his actions so far. Also, he will probably lose all “power” in 2027. It takes a super majority in both House and Senate to amend the Constitution, and Trump will never get that.

  20. I fear it’s going to take violent action by the people or senior leaders to take him out of that office (or Vance if Trump doesn’t make it). I have never in my life hoped I am more wrong. But with the Heritage Foundation, a cabinet full of sycophants, and endless money… without the people he currently has brainwashed waking up and joining us to save our constitution and democracy, I think we’re in serious trouble. I think the United States is falling. I’ve been serving this country for 26 years, and I’ve never been more scared or heartbroken in my life. But I’m not gonna lie down and take it, either. My children deserve better. We just need to organize and get enough people to say enough is enough. 💙
