  1. I am old enough to remember polio. We are going back in time.

  2. I’m guilty of hoping for a cocktail of different viruses that are completely preventable with vaccination and common sense public health practices. Let all the anti-science zealots take their faith to the bank…and to the Pearly Gates.

Hubris may *actually* make America great again.

  3. When the majority of the population is sick and dying there’s nobody to say no to forced labor.

  4. Ah, the first horse of the apocalypse, if we follow the interpretation of Supernatural. The next one is (civil) war, the red horse. Then comes famine and at last death (of an empire). The bible is not bad at describing how civilizations fall.

  5. Fun fact: if a pregnant woman catches rubella at the wrong time during pregnancy, the baby has an increased chance of autism.

  6. By the way, whatever happened to TB? It used to be a big deal. Anyone remember those Christmas card stamps for raising money for TB?

  7. The “POM drinks fight free radicals” commercials are getting too real.
