Skier Plunges To His Death “Losing Balance While Taking Photos” At Bulgarian Ski Resort

A tragic accident occurred at the Bansko Ski Resort in southern Bulgaria on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

A 29-year-old Irish tourist fell from a height of approximately 600 meters (1,900 feet) while taking pictures of the surrounding scenery with a group. Mountain rescue services quickly responded to the emergency, locating the severely injured tourist and transporting him to a hospital in nearby Razlog. The incident resulted in severe injuries and life-saving measures the man passed away the following day.
