  5. Everyone open your minds. It does not matter to the climate *how* the job gets done.

    Take for instance California. Banning the *sale* of ICE cars does not prevent people from buying them someplace else and driving them in California. Sell all you want. If there is no gasoline station and just electric chargers no one living in California will by the ICE car unless they live near the border. Why would anyone set up a dealership for ICE cars in California now when they know that the state government, local government, and public is going to turn on you. Reversing the ban just gives car owners living in California the option of selling their old used ICE car to people taking it out of state.

    I do not care much how tailpipe emissions are reduced. A major shift to walkable/bikable cities would be great. We should not be locked in to another generation of forced car buying. It needs to be easy for low income people living on horrific minimum wages to avoid the cost of a personally owned sedan.
