  1. Hes’ also the chief architect of project 2025 – that alone should be disqualifying

  2. The principle architect of Project 2025 is “clearly unfit” to be in the federal government? No shit.

  3. They can actually do things? Why haven’t they been doing this

  4. Remember Dems; we are counting on you to hold the line. Do not permit the transactional appointments by Trump…

  5. To be clear, he was still advanced to the nomination stage, since Republicans have 11 committee members, and they all voted for him anyway. So, he’ll get his confirmation hearing like all of the others in the coming days.

So, this is just the Democrats making a protest statement.

Just yesterday I was in an argument with people complaining that the democrats had the audacity to vote *with* the Republicans for Marco Rubio, and people were telling me that the Democrats should have instead done one of these hopeless protest votes out of spite, to send a message.

So, even though Vought passed this stage, after Democrats had no power to stop it, are we happy? Or do we just want to shit on the Democrats no matter what they do, like we always do?

  6. Vought working for Homela-uh Trump?  I feel like I’ve seen this before somewhere.

  7. Anything that starts with “Democrats boycott..” is good news for me at this point and makes me want to celebrate. Keep it up!

  8. The dems need to get fired up all over the damn media. Start calling names! Yell! Scream! Do things that will get some damn attention. This back room pouting and saying we don’t like this guy does nothing.

Get out in front of the media engines. Hold a freaking bonfire on the steps of the Capital and filibuster (figuratively) in the cold all night long. Get every damn TV outlet to cover it.

Speak up outside the halls of Congress!!!

  9. Too bad it was for nothing – “Vought was able to advance, however, with the support of all 11 Republicans on the committee.“

  10. Lol, all those critics and twitter users were like “The boys is fake and too over the top.” And now we’re literally getting a guy named Russell Vought.

  11. No Project 2025 authors should be confirmed. It’s bad enough we have a Christian nationalist confirmed for DoD.

  12. I hope they do the same for RFK and Gabbard. Especially Gabbard.

  13. This man must not be confirmed. He’s an ideologue and very dangerous. He’s the architect of Project 2025, he’s a big part of the reason why the Trump 2nd term is so chaotic so far.

    Block him at all cost!

  14. Show up and fucking vote. If a republican tips the balance, but they aren’t there…
    Show up and fucking vote.

  15. Everyone from the top down is unfit for office in this administration

  16. None. Absolutely. None of trumps appointees are qualified for their posts. Kakistocracy —governing by shite people.

  17. > During the press conference, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stated Vought was the inspiration behind the Trump administration’s controversial temporary funding freeze on all federal aids aids and grants earlier this week. It was rescinded the day after it was ordered.

Let’s be clear. They rescinded it but the Trump admin is still treating it as if it’s in effect.

I found out today that the grant my salary is paid from, because a federal agency pays my salary since my program has delegated authority from them, has been frozen. Luckily part of my paycheck for the last period was already paid out but, like, there’s a very real possibility it might be frozen longer and they might not be able to pay me.

The media SHOULD NOT be doing what the Trump admin wants and pretending shit is all good now that they rescinded the memo. Shit is very much not all good now.

  18. They should be putting him through the wringer, not boycotting. Put questions on the record, hold them to account!

  19. Thst description can be made for most or all of his picks.

  20. This guy is by far the worst. He literally said that the president should not follow the constitution or the law of the land. He also thinks that president executive orders are above the law or Supreme Court decisions. He is the absolute image of the christofascist regime.

  21. They should do this to ALL his nominees, like tf?

  22. Imagine allowing a right-wing extremist with the last name ‘Vought’ into a position of power. Satire is dead.

Next, you’ll tell me Trump is Homelander

  23. Its too close to an election, qe should wait for the next administration.

  24. man got ghosted by an entire political party that’s a new level of rejection

  25. I feel like no matter what order, each is less qualified than the last.

  26. why boycott instead of vote against him? Can they not move forward with the votes if Dems aren’t there?

  27. Finally they’re making a tiny attempt to do SOMETHING

  28. This is good. Would be even better if he doesn’t get confirmed. They should not be allowed to appoint ideological loyalists everywhere and exterminate everyone else.

  29. 1. about fucking time
    2. WAY too little, WAY too late.

The fucking WOLVES are in the henhouse already, and we are all FUCKED.

  30. They couldn’t have boycotted hegseth too? And how about gabbard?

  31. He’s the architect of everything that is going on right now. Him and his collection of white supremacist shit bags are the ones who wrote up all that EOs the sharpy wielding orange fucking stain is signing.
