>The company will increase hourly pay for its top of the scale employees over the next three years, with the pay rising by $1 to $30.20 in the first year and an extra $1 each in the subsequent two years, according to the memo.
>The bottom of the scale employees will also get an increase of 50 cents to $20, according to the memo.
Sounds like Costco has their priorities straight. Now excuse me while I get a $1.50 hotdog and drink…and a bunch of other stuff I don’t need like massage chair, TV, watermelon, steaks and hearing aids…
One major reason why I will never sell my Costco shares, they put customers and employees before shareholders. I am happily making less money from my portfolio as long as they keep providing affordable groceries to common folks like me.
I’m getting a Costco Membership tomorrow !! 💕
My shares were worried about the strike stuff for a second. Good to see this is resolved and the market isn’t concerned.
Funny how investors have full faith in a company like Costco’s financial future while offering this pay, but it’s suddenly unattainable for so many other companies…
Go for the hotdog and leave with $100 in snacks.
I really, really don’t think is what it’s being reported as.
. It says to “most” employees but…..less than 10% of their stores are union which was who was striking and who a new deal is for. Am I to believe that Costco is all of the sudden going to be paying $30 to everyone outside of the union too? Their average wage for non management is high teens right now per glass door
I’m extremely skeptical they are going to raise wages from $17-19/hour to $30 for retail work
Noooooo hire illegal immigrants and pay them below the minimum wage and exploit them!!!!!
Feeling less guilty about dropping $500 there this evening now.
This is an attempt to undercut the costco workers trying to Unionize costco and divide the employees. Don’t fall for the okey-doke.
Costco also holding firm on Diversity Equity and Inclusion policy.
