  1. Within a day we can expect to see the Executive Order that closes the FAA. This incident proves that they are infested with DEI ‘people’, despite the evidence not showing that they are infested with DEI ‘people’.

  2. Calling it DEI is plain dumb

    but saying that Trump firing the FAA head or the hiring freeze had anything to do with this is also outright wrong

    this was an issue under Biden in 2023 that was never fixed by his FAA head. If he wasn’t fired by Trump a few days ago, he should absolutely have been fired now. The FAA has a greater issue of not hiring people of color, which will inevitably worsen under Trump.

    If you hire someone they aren’t going to instantly start controlling the air traffic. They are going to need at least a modicum on training specific to the airport.

    The policy Trump is attacking—allowing disabled individuals to be hired by the FAA—was in place during his own presidency and remained unchanged.
