A ‘deplorable state of disrepair’: Employees and visitors comment on the Louvre • FRANCE 24

The Louvre in Paris, one of the world’s biggest and most famous museums, “is in a deplorable state of disrepair”, says one employee and union rep, while visitors complain of a lack of heating and nowhere to sit down. It comes after a leaked memo by the museum’s head, Laurence des Cars, warned that some areas of the Louvre are “no longer watertight” and that the museum suffers from overcrowding and substandard facilities.

  1. "There are practically no toilet facilities in most of the museum"

Well I guess it's good thing the museum isn't in San Francisco.

  2. Give green brains some space to do repair work they like to painting paintings so they can work for free in the toilets

  3. I feel like it's gonna make the news for all the wrong reasons in the future. Ceiling collapse, destroys hundreds of priceless artwork or something like that.

  4. spending all the funding on "social justice initiatives" I bet AKA somebody wallet has gotten real fat!
