  15. I could consider tariffing bad actor countries like Russia. I could be convinced to tariff countries with bad environmental laws or bad labor rights laws like maybe China.

    But, tariffing our closest allies and neighbors doesn’t make sense to me.

    We want Canada and Mexico to be prosperous. We don’t want people from Mexico or Canada to be desperate to come here because of a trade war. I’d think MAGA would feel even more strongly about that than me. I really appreciate the benefits of immigration, but there are limits and I don’t want people to be driven to move by desperation.

    Especially tariffing raw resources. If people are willing to give us their raw resources let’s take them. Why would we take away competition from our oil companies and waste our own oil that is limited in supply?
