10. The iceberg may threaten wildlife, but it already raised the sea level when it broke off 38 years ago. Archimedes' principle. The amount of ocean displaced by the weight of the berg doesn't change whether it's frozen solid or liquid.
    The global mean sea level has risen 101 millimeters (3.98 inches) since 1992 and continues to rise at 3.9 mm (0.15 inches) per year.
    When another one of these breaks off it will be even messier.

15. If Shackleton had waited 109 years he could have taken an iceberg directly to South Georgia Island. It might have been easier than taking smaller icebergs to elephant Island and then sailing across the southern ocean to South Georgia. 😂 RIP Shackleton.
