Hello all! My wife and I are traveling to Lisbon from the United States and are confused about the Covid requirements for entering Portugal. The [US Embassy website](https://pt.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/) states we will need proof of vaccination as well as a negative Covid test, whereas literally every other site, including [visit Portugal](https://www.visitportugal.com/en/content/covid-19-measures-implemented-portugal), the [airline](https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/travel/restrictions-map.html), [CNN](https://www.cnn.com/travel/amp/portugal-travel-covid-19/index.html), and [others](https://www.kayak.com/travel-restrictions/portugal) state that we need either/or, not both. Does anybody know which is correct? The US Embassy website is the only place we’ve found that says we need both. We are both fully vaccinated with boosters. Thanks!

UPDATE: We got here two days ago – and only showed our vaccination cards and passport at the airport. We did end up getting an antigen test the day before we left, but didn’t show it to anyone and seemingly didn’t need it.

Loving this beautiful city so far!

  1. Check your airline’s website. If there isn’t much info there KLM’s website has all the needed info for a bunch of flights to and from everywhere (even if you are not flying with them).

I think the need for a test has been discarded for EU flights, if you’re coming from outside EU you need the test on top of the vaccination.

  2. Only required one of those but bear in mind some airlines require passengers to have a negative covid test in order to board their planes. Have a good time, if you need any tips, we are here.

  3. My friend the only thing you need here is quim Barreiros, uns tremoços, uma chouricinha grelhada and uma beer. And enjoy the trip here.
