  1. > A source tells PEOPLE that the actor and Saturday Night Live alum, 30, has spent $200,000 to undergo the process of having his multiple inkings removed from his body.

    > “He just woke up one day and wanted them gone, and it’s been a years-long process,” the source says of the procedure.

    > A second source adds that the tattoo removal is also marking a fresh start for Davidson, who “has been sober since September, and gained twenty pounds.”

  2. Tattoos are so stupid.

Think about what you were into 20 years ago. Do you really want that permanently on your skin?

People move on and keep rolling. You don’t want things stuck on your skin. Pete definitely felt this.

And it’s gotten out of control.

Pirates, gang members, punk musician, marine… sure fine.

But 40 year old woman or 50 year old banker. No, not cool.

  3. That’s going to be a lot of millennials, once the procedures become cheaper and less painful

The amount of people with a bunch of random nonsense tattoos from their 20s because they were trying to copy that Wiz Khalifa/Lil Wayne 2010s aesthetic is hilarious. People was getting whole sleeves full of regrettable nonsense because girls told them it “looks cute with your tank top and SnapBack hat” circa 2008-2016

  4. I knew not getting any tattoos would eventually make me trendy

Edit: I’m not even trying to be snarky, I witnessed nearly everyone I know who’s within my age group (almost 30) get tattoos within the last 10 or so years, that I figured there’d come a point where I’d be the unique one with no tattoos

  5. He carries the extra weight well too. Face is fuller and he doesn’t have butthole eyes anymore either. You just know sobriety’s also helping w/ the Crohn’s.

  6. Once you get over the agony of withdrawal, sobriety is the best!

  7. The current tattoo trend seems to be on the out. I wouldn’t be surprised if other celebrities begin to do the same and remove their tattoos.

  8. He never heard the saying “ why would you put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?”

  9. This guy is one of the all time mystery celebrities for me…I just don’t get it.

  10. Crazy how something as permanent as tattoos was basically a fashion trend at one point, sure there’s a lot of similar aged people wishing they could afford the same

  11. Unfortunately, all that’s left is an uninked talentless douchebag.

  12. So is he California sober or *sober* sober?

Edit: only asking because I know he loves his weed. I’m not judging, just curious.

  13. He will probably wake up one day and notice all the open canvas on his body and re-tattoo.

  14. Makes u wonder how this guy even graduated high school

  15. I used to work in laser hair and pigment removal and that could be very painful itself. Laser tattoo pigment removal would be a lot worse. Hopefully some numbing agents used. So many sessions too over the same areas over and over, no wonder it’s 200k.
