After 14 weeks of January I’m happy it’s now Fen, viewing 3 houses today 🙂
I’m off to volunteer at my local parkrun in an hour or so and this afternoon I’m going to my friends new house to play boardgames 🙂
The same thing we do every Saturday morning Pinky , go to the gym then Tesco click and collect .
Good morning! Well, I was hoping to go for a walk with Mr Imaginary Answer but we had a big row last night about our 17 yr old son who’s been behaving like a knob. So, at this precise moment no one is talking to anyone except the cats, they are neutral like Switzerland 🇨🇭
Read, snooze and snack. All day.
We’re in a cottage in the Cotswolds til tomorrow. Got here last night. Our little one didn’t sleep very well at all after me and my wife came up to bed (cot is in our room) so we were both up and down with him til gone 3am 🤷🏼♂️ we’ve got family with us too which made it more stressful in the night as he was howling.
So I can’t wait for tonight!
Solidarity for all of us having to work today!
What a year January was ! Thought it was never going to end.
Today I’m off to Parkrun, then some chores, bit of call of duty and out this evening to some kind of alternative bingo.
Trying not to immediately start drinking now dry Jan is over. So keeping busy – up for a swim soon, then dog walk, make pancakes for the kids, house work/shopping etc., another dog walk, rock climbing for a couple of hours, make tea, family time, bed.
Saturday morning only means one thing – parkrun!
Off to town once my husband has done parkrun. We go to the library there every three weeks then visit my parents who live nearby. Not exciting but pretty wholesome. Then the rugby is on. (Although after last night im not sure my husband – who is welsh – will be as keen to watch it).
Going to make pancakes for the kids, have a clean through, go to the library and go some baking.
Sat in bed looking at house prices waiting for it to be socially acceptable to put a wash on.
Working boooo, but how are we in feb already????
We’re keeping our eating and living healthier streak going by going for a wander around a local woodland, before doing the shopping and domestic jobs before D&D this evening
Off to work in a bit. Went to a talk last night on the history of the local mental hospital, which was far more interesting than if I’d stayed in to watch France hammering Wales 43-0. Remember when Wales used to be amazing at rugby?

Going to be watching Smackdown in a bit.
Then tonight, I’m watching (first time in over ten years) Royal Rumble on Netflix (starting time- 11pm)
The chrysanths I got from the market flower stall have lasted 3 weeks which is fantastic, but they are starting to look just a little sad today, so I will see what the nice lady has at the stall this morning. Want to build on my triumph of gym attendance yesterday but this coffee is very nice and my flat is very cosy …
wondering where the hell 1/12th of 2025 has gone to!
Driving to the coast with my dog to see my olds.
First time on a big trip in the car for the dog so will go the scenic route so we can stop off for a few little walks on the way.
Going to a small localish zoo I’ve not been to before. My oldest has went with his gran and uncle and wants me and his brother to go so we’re taking a picnic lunch and braving the weather. I’ll put on my waterproof trousers if I have to 😎
I’ve had an abysmal sleep and my arthritis is playing up something rotten from the cold but I’m wearing my bravest face. My sons don’t get on well so my oldest choosing to spend time with the wee one lately is huge.
made it through january with no alcohol but most importantly…no chocolate! i am excited to have a glass of asti and eat some caramel chocolate that has been looking at me since new year.
today we’re going for a lunch time curry with our neighbours which will be nice too!
We are going to Manchester today to see the Chinese New Year celebrations. I love Manchester China Town. I love Manchester as well.
Meeting friend this morning and then rugby later. Might do the shopping too
No rain on the forecast today. Which means shirts can dry outside, on the rotary airer, for the first time this year. An event hardly worthy of great celebration, but still….
I do have to go to town today. The only cash that I have is a £20 note, and I’d rather not have to put the entire twenty in the collection plate at Church tomorrow.
Seeing all the comments here has pushed me to go and do parkrun this morning. Then I’ll be tackling the kitchen cupboards and changing all the hinges to lovely quiet soft close ones. I’m waging a war against unnecessary loud banging noises.
Gym done, pharmacy pickup, Amazon locker pickup, taking the kids shopping while the wife is at work, hoovering then Gladiators with the oldest after the baby’s in bed.
May try and make a desk out of pallets for my office too.
