Without key setbacks, Ukraine could have stopped Russia already, a co-founder of DeepState says. Intensity of Russian assaults at the front has declined since late December. The analyst believes that if not for certain challenges faced by Ukrainian forces, the initiative could be on Ukraine’s side.

A lot of the statements in the interview lack context to the point where I question accuracy.
The TLDR pertaining to the title is “if Ukraine didn’t have problems they’d be doing better…” Well, yeah… It would be helpful to delineate those problems (delay in Western support? lack of manpower? Suboptimal leadership?) and how to improve moving forward.
But looking forward, there’s this statement:
>We also observe this in terms of territory—specifically, the area occupied by Russia has decreased significantly compared to December
… And I’m not sure that’s correct. Although Russia has been making very slow gains, they’re nonetheless making gains, particularly around Kupiansk and Pokrovsk.
Ukraine, likewise, hasn’t had much success in claiming/reclaiming territory except in retaking some areas in Kursk during this months’ offensive, though total Kursk territorial holdings are still quite a bit less than the maximum extent back in August.
Overall, I really don’t know what to make of this article… It just doesn’t seem well done or particularly useful.
Their names are Donald Trump and Mike Johnson. Blame them for the six-month delay in aid that cost Ukraine Avdiivka
Well yeah, otherwise there would’ve never been any key setbacks. Similarly, without key setbacks Russia would’ve taken Kiev in 3 days!
This article comes of a bit as “if they hadn’t lost the battles they lost they would be winning the war”, like okay Sherlock
Ukraine has done an outstanding job with the equipment and support they have received.
No plan survives contact with the enemy. Ukraine and its allies made mistakes, and they were costly. Learn the lessons and move forward.
