  8. Irrational and unhinged. He is obviously a Russian asset that seeks isolation of the U.S from the rest of the world, so that Russias geopolitical position gets stronger. It makes absolutely no sense to do this. It also makes no sense to threaten Canada, Mexico and Greenland/Denmark. These countries are allies and business partners of the U.S

  10. Putin must be celebrating the incredible success of his interference in western democracy. He helped with Brexit then helped Trump to win on both occasions. Trump’s first victory was enabled by the Hilary Clinton email scandal unveiled by Russian hacking. His second victory was led by Russia’s flooding of social media with bots and other funding to political campaigns.

What’s very fascinating about the Trump gravitational pull is how everyone so callously discards every bit of their credibility and even their ethics once they enter its orbit from economists, legal professionals, academics, journalists etc. Somewhere in his administration there are economists who know what he’s doing is ill-advised but they just choose to stay silent for some reason.

  20. EU should work with all countries that are under threat of US tariffs to increase trade amongst themselves, limiting the impact of decreased demand from US. If very successful, the EU should raise prices on any goods going to the US, raising US inflation even more.

    US is like a child always getting the goods and not giving anything back. They only exist because of the Brenton Woods agreement. Time to threaten them with dropping the dollar as a trading currency.
