    Spokespeople for big corporations like Wal Mart can say they plan to raise prices because of Trump’s tarriffs.

    Trump will cost consumers AT LEAST $800 by raiding taxes on American importers and consumers who buy their goods.

    (Tariff is a weasel word, and makes it seem like MAGIC attack on another country. It is not.)

    $800 is very low (and a lie) considering:

    Fuel will raise leading to increased transport costs,
    Leading to increased goods costs
    Leading to increased purchase prices

    That’s just a simple one not including any specific tariffs on any of those goods since it will stack since you need fuel to transport the goods regardless.

  22. The actual number maybe 3 to 6 times that, as untariffed goods will also go up in prices too. So maybe it will cost each household $3000 to $6000 a year.

    Proposed tarrifs ON OUR SIDE against MEXICO AND CANADA ONLY would cost 830 for average Americans.

    That is a cost x / 350 million calculation.

    Poverty struck people would be much less.

    Rich people won’t be affected as much either because there are only so many consumables one can buy.

    Figure for regular families it will be much higher.

    And that does not take into account retaliation from Canada and Mexico. Which will also cost us.

    And most certainly it does not count all the other turnip taxes being proposed for China.

    Harris said it would be 2500 to 4300 bucks a year. I believe her.

  27. This is only *today’s* tariffs, and doesn’t factor the cost of retaliatory tariffs and other effects. Wait for Taiwan, Asia / pacific, Europe tariffs plus the effect of multiple-level supply shocks from other geopolitical matters such as trade / port blockade, and loss of all the labor and economic output of everyone ‘deported’ from the US.

    If I had to put a number spitballing, it’d be $1800 / family / year 2025-2026 and $2400 / family / year 2027-2028.
