I was away for the weekend and met the adorable Lincoln, also known as the Tesco cat. No, unfortunately he's not for sale for £8.50. I found out that he visits Tesco every day, sleeps in the entrance and has his own Facebook profile for local sightings. He's recently done a charity calender and now has his own book deal!
I don't have one at my local shop but a few comments mentioned their own local versions of Lincoln. Anyone else have a local supermarket cat??

How does a cat get a book deal?

My daughter has one at her tesco!
My town had a petrol station cat. She had a loving home, but she preferred sitting on the bags of charcoal outside the petrol station. Sadly, she passed away recently. There is also a cat that likes to sleep on the chairs in A&E.

£79.99 without a clubcard.
£8.50 for a small bag of logs?
Looks like he’s wearing a security tag round his neck! So cute
We have [Frank the Sainsbury’s cat](https://www.buckinghamshirelive.com/news/buckinghamshire-news/sainsburys-built-olney-branch-cats-6789554).
I’ve met Lincoln in person, he’s a good looking lad. 😍 The collar is a tracker btw.

We have Sophie the tesco cat.
She sits just inside the front door on all the seasonal stuff they store there. She has her own Facebook page reminding people she isn’t lost or hungry and in fact lives near by; and don’t worry if she looks ill, she’s just old.
All tescos ALWAYS have at least one cat. Mine has 3.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is writing his song as we speak.
Lincoln is short for Lindum Colonia, the Roman name for the town founded around 60AD.
We also have a Tesco cat.. George. And he’s orange too. He just wanders round the carpark all day waiting to be made a fuss of.
£8.50 ?!? You should not buy cats.

Had one at a Tesco’s near a housesitting gig I was doing. Her name was Ivy and she’d just hang out by the door wearing a collar that told people not to feed her
We’ve got Henry at work. He usually sits on a wheelie bin just inside one of the side entrances.

I thought ours in Cookstown was unique! They like chilling at the entrance, usually on coal or soil bags
We have an Aldi cat, previously the Co op greeter kitty. The Co Op used to let him in but Aldi keep him outside boo hiss to Aldi
I saw a Tesco cat when I was on holiday in North Wales last year
Perfect spot to spread toxoplasmosis gondii to as many people as possible.
My family’s local supermarket had a cat for years until she was unfortunately run over in their car park. The shop now has a plaque dedicated to her next to the customer service desk.
If all Tescos had cats lemme tell you I would be shopping at them a lot more often. Cmon Tescos I’m offering you a marketing tactic!!
Our shop cat was struck by a car last week, we’ve all cried in the chiller several times.
RIP Ziggy, my baby girl 💖
