London march: Hundreds call for an end to violence against women

  1. I’m all for this message but those that harm women will most likely not give a shit about a march or the opinions of those on the march.

We need to get tougher on abusers, make it easier on people to come forward and let abusers be known so others don’t fall victim

  2. Sarah Everard’s death should have been a serious wake-up call for some, same with all the subsequent cases found to have involved Met police officers and officers from other forces. It is a problem that still goes underreported as victims feel powerless to report the crime and to be taken seriously by those whose job it is to protect them. While the public may support this idea, there is still an institutional problem that prevents women either feeling safe or receiving the justice they deserve.

  3. Saw this, didn’t actually recognise it was this and was rather distracted by the absolutely massive one in Trafalgar Square

  4. I do love how these “um, what’s the point? Bigots won’t change their minds” comments ONLY happen when it’s about sexism.

  5. I saw this. My dog was super excited and thought they wanted to play. I had to stop the walk and sit him down so he didn’t jump up on the lady with a white coat that was passing . I don’t mean to make light of a serious issue just thought I’d share my funny experience

  6. I’m all for this but guess what! Without addressing the alcohol problem in this country not much will be solved. We literally live in a place where full on responsible adults think it’s alright to just “get pissed” on a friday night.
