Nowhere does it indicate that they were killed by “Russians”. The family speaks Russian. And I think I heard some Ukrainian from somewhere briefly.
Keep in mind that Zelensky allegedly gave out 10000 AKs to any volunteers, let out convicts from the prisons. And there are a lot of irrational people of hate who would kill somebody they thought were Russian. Just like drunk Czechs attacking people speaking Russian in Prague.
