I was TF444 at camp Juno training the ATF (basically Afghan SF) and damn this brought back memories of situations just like this.
I’d say he handled that situation well.
Jamsheed, come get your boy and show him how it’s done properly.
he didnt even attempt to aim it
That’s not what the legendary Jamsheed would want to see.
RIP RPG God Jamsheed
Overeager to get in that practice for taking out all the Taliban air assets.
Jamsheed does not approve this message
Did you train them? …. Well we trained at them but I don’t think it took
I think that was an unintentional discharge unless he is aiming at a satellite.
Afghanistan was never going to make it by themselves against the Taliban if it the depended on the ANA.
This is why this mission was always doomed to fail. Attempting to train these guys to something that resembled a competent fighting force was never going to happen.
Everyone who told you that ANA could stand against the Taliban, was lying to your face
They all knew exactly what the ANA was like
Even during operations, I never leave an ANA guy behind for fear that he will shoot me in the back, you idiot…
“Ok my friend ok my friend no no more”
(Fires another RPG in front of same guy)
Saw this YouTube documentary filled with incidences just like this and worse but honestly a really good watch (I believe it was from Vice a long while back, will add link when I find it again)
